El Techo had great signature cocktails, great food, great ambiance, and reasonable prices. They put a time limit on tables so you can get in quickly, get great service, enjoy a couple hours, and make room for the next people!! An extra perk is the free two hour street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods! I definitely recommend. Cheers!

This place is absolutely stunning! The best taco in the area and great atmosphere for those who love music and cocktail!! Staffs are very friendly and we love the guy who checks ID!! One of the best place for 2023! No regret at all!

Very bright and fun atmosphere, food was delicious, and friendly staff- service can be a bit slow during busy times, but could tell they were working hard. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cool spot for dinner or drinks!

Kitchen closed at ten so I only got to taste one taco and the drinks looked ok. I liked the whimsical aesthetics but the restaurant isn’t wheelchair accessible. It is actually an old deck at the top of some very steep steps that has been converted into a bar. Also do not expect frozen drinks after 10pm. I’m assuming the spot was geared towards the Howard University students as it is on the outskirts of campus(beside the Howard Theater) with street parking that is of course very limited…so catch an Uber or be prepared to walk.

The food was pretty good. My issues are with the place itself. The table they sat the three of us at was barely enough space for one person. It was roughly 58° inside the restaurant. We had to stack plates just to fit all the food they brought to the table. It also took about 40 minutes to get dessert because the server forgot. Good tacos, guacamole, and margaritas. For the experience, I would go anywhere else to get tacos.

The customer service at El techo was really wonderful. Everyone was super pleasant and welcoming that made the experience even better. The tacos were really great! I enjoyed the ambiance. I will say their spicy margaritas really are potent lol but it’s more manageable as you swirl it around with the ice just fyi lol

First time there. It was cute but very small. For the crowd and business they get they should think about moving to another location 🤷🏾‍♀️ I was by myself and they had me squeezed up at the bar next to the drink mixing supplies and etc. 🥴 the food and drinks were very good it’s just small and crowded.

The El Techo team provided fantastic service for my 60 person birthday party. We felt welcomed with plenty of space to eat, drink, dance, and socialize. The food and drinks are delicious, the vibes and music were on point, and the open-air space felt fantastic with the nice weather. I’m thankful for another great experience at this at this awesome establishment!
